Enjoy two days away with like-minded people learning to be mindful and treat yourself with kindness when meeting life’s frequent challenges.  Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) is a powerful remedy for depression, anxiety and stress, enabling you to live with greater ease, connection and joy.  Many of us have a harsh critic within, berating us at times, reminding us of times things went wrong in the past, affecting our confidence here and now. 


Self-Compassion is a powerful practice of:

  1. turning towards and acknowledging difficult thoughts and feelings with a spirit of openness, acceptance and curiosity

  2. then responding to these difficult feelings with kindness, empathy and understanding.

Learning to treat yourself with kindness brings many benefits, including:

  • capacity to handle difficult situations and emotions with greater ease 

  • being able to motivate yourself with kindness rather than criticism 

  • handling challenging relationships better

  • increasing resilience and preventing burn-out 

  • finding more joy and happiness in daily life

Research shows self-compassion greatly enhances emotional well-being, boosts happiness, reduces anxiety and depression, and helps maintain healthy lifestyle habits.  What's really exciting is that the effects of self-compassion practice appears to show measurable improvements on biological markers of stress in the body.

The great news is that Self-Compassion is a skill that can be learned which helps us to feel happier, more at ease and can improve health.  This can be done through the practice of accepting what’s going on in our life and repeatedly wishing goodwill toward ourselves and others which is what you will learn and get to practice on this weekend.  Come along and join us at one of the weekends soon, options include:

We start the weekend at Whangamata Coast Guard Boardroom with a gentle meet and greet at 6 pm Friday night.  Over the weekend you will enjoy two full days of Mindful Self-Compassion with like minded individuals,  delicious vegetarian lunches and yoga sessions to reinvigorate the mind, body and soul. 


Early Bird before 26 August $400 and Buddy Rate – Book 2 for $700.  Late registration 27 Aug $495.  All require a $75 deposit to validate booking.  Balance due 14 September.

November 23 Friday 6 pm till 4 pm Sunday 25

We meet at St Francis Monastery, Mt Albert 6 pm Friday night to enjoy two full days of Mindful Self-Compassion with like minded individuals, daily yoga sessions, delicious vegetarian meals daily, single accommodation with shared bathrooms.
